TOUR 4:
SALT MINE BERCHTESGADEN, EAGLE´S NEST and SCHÖNAU/KÖNIGSSEE LAKE: (11 hours)
We will pick you up at around 9 AM and drive south-east of Munich. Our first stop is at the city of BERCHTESGADEN very close to the border to AUSTRIA and to SALZBURG. We will visit a real SALT MINE ,get 1500 feets into the mountain and walk through the internal tunnels. We will walk up and down and use original sliding systems, where specially kids well have a lot of fun. Other surprises will also await you there.
Afterwards we drive to a mountain station JENNERBAHN, where normally people come for skiing. Here we have to take a special bus, which will take us to the bottom of the mountain, on which HITLER´S SUMMER BUNKER (or also called THE TEA HOUSE) is located. Because of its location it has got the name EAGLE´S NEST. Translated into German it is called ADLERHORST, but the official name of the site is KEHLSTEINHAUS. The construction is located on the top of the mountain OBERSALZBERG. Today it is a turist attraction and the house is a unique restaurant to be visited.
Optional to the tour we will drive to SCHÖNAU town, located right next to the KÖNIGSSEE lake. After a 20 minutes walk we could take a ship to the other side of the lake and visit a famous church SAINT BARTOLOMÄEUS, but time will be tight so this is optional to you.
We schedule to be back in Munich at around 8 PM.
