Tour 1:    MUNICH  CITY  

Part A:       Old City

We will pick you up from your hotel or address and take you on a pleasant drive through the historic centre of town. Depending on the hour we start on the famous MARIENPLATZ (old city plaza) with the world famous GLOCKENSPIEL (bell sounds and puppet carrousel) at the wonderful neo-gothic RATHAUS (city hall), following with rests of the old, first level fence wall, the old and traditional VIKTUALIENMARKT (old grain market, today specialty food market). You will see the newly restored beautifull SANKT PETER´S CHURCH and the imposing twin towers of the 15th century  FRAUENKIRCHE  cathedral (women´s church), which is the citysymbol of Munich. We will pass the most famous and around the world known brewery HOFBRÄUHAUS to continue to the grandeur of the plazas and gardens of royal Munich, the RESIDENZ, opera and the National Theather. You will also see the local state parliament, a traditional building called MAXIMILIANEUM and several Bavarian state government buildings. On the way to the part B of the tour we will pass the wunderfull park of the ENGLISCHER GARTEN (English Garden), the LMU University old campus and the historical FRIEDENSTOR (Memorial to Peace).

Part B:       Nymphenburg Palace

Passing through the KÖNIGSPLATZ (Kings Place) with it fantastic museums and memorials we will drive straight to the overwhelming SCHLOSS NYMPHENBURG and its great gardens and parks. In the palace buildings you find several  important local museums: one dedicated to natural sciences called MENSCH UND NATUR, another dedicated to old historical horse carriages, the MARSTALL MUSEUM and the MUSEUM OF PORZELAIN showing old and fine nymphenburg porcelain artwork. Located on different sites of the parks you find secondary small palaces LUSTSCHLÖSSER and the well known PALMENGARTEN, an incredible arrangement of exotic plants from all over the world placed in this extraordinary botanical garden arrangement.

Part C:      Olympic Park

We drive to the Olympic Park Facilities which contains all original buildings and setups for the Olympic Games which took place in 1972 in Munich. We will visit the communication tower at 180 meters height with a fantastic view (depend on weather conditions!) all over Munich and the surroundings. You might experience a snack in the rotating restaurant with a panoramic view 360 degrees. We will visit the memorial site where during the games the well known  terrorist attack took place in 1972. In the Olympic Park you will find several sports facilities and stadiums to be seen from outside while walking through the park. In addition you will find in the park a fantastic modern Aquarium, to be visited.

Part D:      BMW World

We will drive to the international headquarter of BMW and visit the famous BMW WORLD building, a technological center with all new products and developments in car technology. You will find several restaurants of different levels (from snack bars to haute cuisine restaurants) and will enjoy interesting  hands-on activities and showcases on new car engine technologies. The BMW MUSEUM with the old and historical cars and engines can be visited as well afterwards by yourself.

Duration:     3 - 5 hours depending on the time spent by you  during the visits
