Part A:                Zugspitze Mountain

We will drive you to a spectacular part of the german Alps, the valley of the WETTERSTEINGEBIRGE (Wetterstein Mountains) where on one border we find the cities and area of Garmisch and Partenkirchen, today melted into only one city with the combined name of both. Near to the city we will visit the highest mountain of Germany, the ZUGSPITZE, just under 10.000  feets high, going up on a modern  cablelifts or a zahnradbahn train which most of the way goes trough the mountain. Right on the top and depending on wheather conditions you will be able to see into 4 countries at the same time by watching over a thousand Bavarian, Austrian, Swiss and Italien mountain peaks. Depending on the wheather you will be able to see glaciers named NÖRDLICHER und SÜDLICHER  SCHNEEFERNER und der HÖLLENTALFERNER from the top.

Afterwards we will make a stop on the fantastic lake EIBSEE (Eib-Lake), surrounded in a wunderfull natural setting. You might have a snack or lunch there, sitting outside on the lake´s boarder.

Part B:       Cities of Garmisch and Partenkirchen

The original two separate towns of GARMISCH and PARTENKIRCHEN are melted today into one city and counts around 30.00 habitants together. It is located in a magnificant valley formed by two rivers: one called LOISACH coming from TIROL and the other called PARTNACHT which originates in the WENDERSTEIN mountains. Originally the part of town called GARMISCH was located westbound of the river PARTNACH and PARTENKIRCHEN was located on the eastside. Last was founded by the romans as overnight station on their excursions to the north and named the facilty PARTANUM The trail used was called VIA RAETIA and leaded towards the famous VIA CLAUDIA. Garmisch was founded later and is mentioned in the history books in the year 802. Today the region is a famous turist location and hosted several international and national skitournaments in the past.

Part C:  Linderhof Palace

Afterwards we drive to another Palace built by King Ludwig II called SCHLOSS LINDERHOF. It was his favorite place to stay surrounded by an overwhelming park environment which contains his famous VENUSGROTTE (Venus Cave) with his “indoor” heated personal swimming pool where he listened to a private Orchestra playing music from Richard Wagner. The cave has fairytale paintings and other amazing settings you won´t believe.
